I suggest you to translate the following very simple sentences. I'm sure you won't complain about the difficulties !

1 – Sue n’aime pas beaucoup le chocolat.


2 – Nous avons rencontré en Chine des gens absoluments charmants.


3 – Il y a en Nouvelle-Zélande des paysages extraordinaires.


4 – Le guide a décrit aux touristes le plafond de la Chapelle Royale.


5 – J’ai acheté en 1990 un stylo qui n’a pas besoin d’être rechargé.


6 – J’ai acheté ce stylo le mois dernier à Oxford.

Here's the correction :

Sue doesn’t like chocolate much. (or Sue doesn’t not much like chocolate –livre)

2 – Nous avons rencontré en Chine des gens absolument charmants.
We met some really charming (delightful) people in China.

3 – Il y a en Nouvelle-Zélande des paysages extraordinaires.
There are extraordinary landscapes in New-Zealand.

4 – Le guide a décrit aux touristes le plafond de la Chapelle Royale.
The guide described the ceiling of the Royal Chapel to the tourists.

5 – J’ai acheté en 1990 un stylo qui n’a pas besoin d’être rechargé.
In 1990, I bought a pen that doesn’t need to be refilled.

Petits rappels :
- Le complément d’objet direct n’est jamais séparé du verbe.
- Les compléments circonstanciels se placent au début ou à la fin de la phrase.
- Quand il y a deux compléments circonstanciels (lieu-temps) on a de préférence l’ordre lieu puis temps.


Les propositions de nos amis Ndege et O'RientCat (phrase n°5) sont tout à fait justes également.
