Ladies and gentlemen, there are tons of craters on the Moon... But I should like to interest you in one of them. It was called after one of the great names of mathematics. So, you'll find its name if you find his name... and vice versa!
See you sooooooooooooooooooon

Sorry, this famous man was neither a French mathematician nor a German one. Try again.
I'll back later. See you.

The name of this crater would have been Al-Biruni if my mathematician had been Persian (or Iranian) but sorry, I thought about another man who was Greek! And so, I think that MystO got it!
Thank you a lot for your participation

I thought it would be more difficult...
Archimedes is especially famous for his "Principle" in hydrostatics. I'm sure you learned it at school: "a body immersed in a fluid experiences a buoyant force equal to the weight of the displaced fluid". In mathematics, Archimedes invented a method for measuring the volume of an object whichever be its shape. Archimedes used infinitesimals in a way that is similar to modern integral calculus. And his name was given to one of the big craters on the Moon...
Congratulations, dearest MystO'

Hi ,
Congratulations dear Mysto’ and thanks Nobody for your magnificent presentation.
I've also found the name of another crater of the same origin: Autolycus.
Autolycos from Pitane ( Pitane 330 BC. AD) much less known in fact
Born in Pitane (Asia Minor).
Mathematician, astronomer (two treaties on astronomy), geographer
Geometry of the sphere (on the movement of the sphere).
(One of the craters on the moon was named after him Autolycus).
I hope my little search on the web didn’t annoy you cause I really didn’t want to.
Have a nice New Year's Eve and New Year!

Coxy
