Hello Mystogriff,
Soit je me lance.
Lauren: Hello maman ! Je suis rentrée !
Hello mummy ! I’m back (home) !
Mrs. Jones: Hello mon ange. As-tu passé une bonne journée à l’école?
Hello my angel (honey?). Have you spend a nice day at school?
Lauren: Oui, maman.
Yes, I have, mummy.
Mrs. Jones: Qu’as-tu fait aujourd’hui?
What have you done today ?
Lauren: Rien de particulier. Puis-je aller chez Tiffany ?
Nothing special. May I go to Tiffany’s ?
Mrs. Jones: As-tu des devoirs?
Have you done your homework ?
Some of them, but it won’t take me a long time (long) to do them.
Mrs. Jones: Termine d’abord tes devoirs, et ensuite tu peux allez chez Tiffany.
Finish your homework first, then you may go to Tiffany’s.
Dis-moi que c'est bien.
A bientôt.

After the school.
Lauren: Hi mom! I'm back!
Mrs. Jones: Hi my (little) angel. Did you spend a nice day at school?
Lauren: Yes, I've mom.
Mrs. Jones: What did you do today?
Lauren: Nothing new. Can I go to Tiffany's?
Mrs. Jones: Do you have some homeworks?
Lauren: Yes I've, but I won't have for long to do them.
Mrs. Jones: Start by finishing your homewoks, and then you can go to Tiffany's.

Hi again !!!!
Lauren: Hi Mu(o)m! I’m home!
Mrs. Jones: Hello Sweetie (1). Did you have (spend) a good day at school ?
Lauren: Yes, Mother (2).
Mrs. Jones: What did you do today?
Lauren: Nothing special. May (3) I go over to Tiffany’s house?
Mrs. Jones: Do you have any homework?
Lauren: A little, but it won’t take me long to do it.
Mrs. Jones: Finish your homework first, and then you can go to Tiffany’s.
My little comments :
(1) Honey, Sweet Heart as well.
(2) In English, Mother and Mu(o)m are the same.
(3) You’ll hear “Can” very often. But, in written English if you write “Can”, two questions :
- Do you have the capacity ? : “No”
- Do you need a permission ? : “Yes”, therefore you must use : “May” !!!!
Coxy :
- Did you have a good day at school
We need a preterit. English people use "good", not "nice" in this sentence.
Nobody
- "Finish your homework first, then you may go to Tiffany’s."
It’s good French, my friend , but it sounds akward in English !
To both of you, my friends !
- "Yes, mother" : We don't write "have", we just thought about it !!!!
- Homework is an uncountable noun !!!
Many thanks to both of you, really good job, my friends !!!

Except the »Queen » maybe.

Excusez-moi, madame.
Mrs Smith : Bonne chance, Cindy. A bientôt.
Cindy : Au revoir, Madame.
Waiting for all of you, my friends !

Hi friends,
Cindy would like to read a book while she's spending a few days with her grandmother.
She needs some indication to go to the library to borrow a book because she doesn't know the city very well.
Cindy (at her grandmother's):
Excuse me Madam, can you tell me the way to go to the library ?
Mrs. Smith (the neighbour):
Yes, of course. You must be Mrs. Bertrand's granddaughter . She told me you 're coming to visit her. She loves you so much and speaks often of you. I am Mrs. Smith, her neighbour.
Cindy:
I do love my grandmother too. We are so close......:
Mrs. Smith:
Oh, that's fine ! To go to the library, go straight up to the end of the street and then turn left. The library will be the fourth building on the left. You'll see a big red-brick building with , just in the front, an enormous billboard where it's writting : "Shakespeare Library."
Cindy:
Thank you very much. Actually, I expected to read the new book "Harry Potter" and I've heard it's available at last.
Mrs. Smith:
Good luck, Cindy. See you soon.
Cindy:Good bye, Madam.
Thank you dear Mysto _________________ Fame

Goodnight, my friends.
Here is my try:
Cindy should like to read a book while she is spending a few days at her grandmother's.
She needs some information to go to the library in order to borrow a book because she isn't familiar with the city / she doesn't know the city very well.
- Cindy (at her grandmother's): Excuse me, madam. Can you tell me how could I go to the library?
- Mrs. Smith (the neighbour): Yes, of course. You must be Mrs.Bertrand's granddaugther. She said you would come and see her. She adores you and often speaks about you. I'm Mrs Smith, her neighbour.
- Cindy: I adore my grandmother, me too. We are so close.
- Mrs. Smith: All right! To go to the library, walk straight ahead of you untill the end of this street, and then turn on your left. The library is the fourth building on the left hand side. It's a big red brick building with an enormous panel in its front showing "Bibliothèque Molière".
- Cindy: Thank you very much. I waited for reading the new "Harry Potter" and it's available now.
- Mrs. Smith: Good luck, Cindy. See you.
- Cindy: Goodbye, madam.
Thanking you, my dear MystO'.
It's your turn, my friends...

Good morning friends,
Here is my dialogue.
Cindy would like to read a book while she’s spending a few days at her grandmother’s. Because she doesn’t know the town very well, she needs some information to go to the library to borrow a book.
Cindy : Excuse me, madam. Could you tell me the way to the library, please?
Mrs Smith (The neighbour) : Yes, of course. You must be Mrs Bertrand’s granddaughter, aren’t you? She told me you were coming to see her. She loves you so much and often speaks about you. I’m Mrs Smith, her neighbour.
Cindy : I do love my granny as well. We are so close.
Mrs Smith : Well, fine. To go to the library, go straight ahead to the end of the street, then turn left. The library is the fourth building on the left. It’s a big red-brick building and in front of it you’ll see “Shakespeare Library ” written on an enormous sign.
Cindy : Thank you very much. I was waiting for the new book “Harry Potter” and it is now available.
Mrs Smith : Good luck, Cindy. See you soon.
Cindy : Goodbye madam.
Have a nice Sunday everybody and see you soon.

Cindy would like to read a book while she spends a few days a her grandmother.
She needs some instructions to go to the library to borrow a book because she doesn't know the town.
Cindy (at her grandmother's house)
Excuse me Madam, Can you tell me how to go to the library?
Mrs Smith (the neighbour) :
Yes of course ! You must be Mrs Bertrand's granddaughter. She said you visit her. She loves you and often speaks you. I'm Mrs Smith, her neighbour.
Cindy :
I love my grandmother, so do I. We are very close.
Mrs Smith :
Well ! To go to the library, go straight up to the end of the street and turn left. The library will be the fourth building on the left. it's a big red brick building with an enormous sign in front of written "Molière Library".
Cindy :
Thank you very much. I waited for to read the new book "Harry Potter" and it is available now.
Mrs Smith :
Good luck, Cindy. See you soon.
Cindy :
Goodbye, Madam.

Hi friends !
Many many thanks for taking part in this new translation ! Very happy to see you again, my dear Medi !!!! Of course, my dear Coxy, I won't say good, but very good job indeed !!!
So, here is my proposition, followed by some comments.... as usual !!
ASKING FOR DIRECTIONS
Cindy would like to read a book while she is spending a few days with her grandmother. She needs directions to go to the library in order to borrow a book because (since) she is not familiar with the town.
Cindy (at her grandmother’s house): Excuse me, madam. Could you please tell me how to get to the library ?
Mrs Smith (the neighbo(u)r): Yes, of course. You must be Mrs. Bertrand’s granddaughter. She said that you would be visiting her. She adores you and speaks of you often. I’m Mrs. Smith, her neighbo(u)r.
Cindy: I adore my grandmother, too (also). We’re very close.
Mrs Smith : Ah well. To get (go) to the library, go straight to the end of this street, then turn left. The library will be the fourth building on the left. It’s a big red brick building with a huge sign in front that says (indicates, shows), “Bibliothèque Molière.” (Yes... they are very fond of French language ! )
Cindy: Thank you very much. I was waiting to read the new “Harry Potter” book, and now it is available.
Mrs Smith : Good luck, Cindy. I’ll see you later.
Some little comments :
-We need to use "directions" in this sentence
- We can't say "could I.." but "How to go" (especially for our Nobody!)
- "she adores" is not the same as "loves very much"
- "talks about you" is a little bit different from "of you"
- The inversion of the propositions by our friend Coxy in the second sentence is Ok, of course !!
A new translation is coming sooooooon !!!!!
