Notice: Since, for = depuis.

FOR ==> used for periods of time, express a duration.
- For three days,
- For a week,
- For several years,
- For two centuries.

SINCE ==> used for a starting point, a specific time.

- Since Monday,
- Since 1997,
- Since the last war.
- Since the day we met.

Both are generally used with a present perfect ==> have + V3

Complete each of the sentences with since or for.
Be careful to write a capital letter in the beginning of a sentence !

1. We have lived in California 1994.
2. Tina has been married three years.
3. I have worked here a long time.
4. Robert hasn't smoked his birthday.
5. 1998, Arthur Holt has been the president of our club.
6. They have studied Spanish six weeks.
7. Nobody has seen Peter Christmas.
8. Paula has worked here March 2000.
